Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in the United States. At the Grace Clinic Heart Health Center, we strongly believe in prevention. That is, we advocate taking steps to limit your heart disease risk factors, thereby slowing or halting damage to your arteries. If started early, prevention is remarkably effective in reducing your changes of a heart attack or stroke.

Our Services

We offer the following services as part of our complete hearth health evaluation and treatment plan:

  • Heart Health Assessment - a comprehensive evaluation of your medical history to assess heart disease risk factors including:
    • Smoking Habits
    • Historical Cholesterol Levels
    • Diabetes
    • Evidences of Clogged Arteries:
      • History of Stroke or Heart Attack
      • Chest Pain
      • Shortness of Breath
      • Swelling of Hands or Feet
      • Leg Cramps with Exertion
      • Bluish Color of Lips or Nails
    • Body Weight
    • Fitness Level
    • Diet
    • Family History
  • Additional Testing, As indicated - After an initial review is completed, additional testing may be indicated, which may include the following:
  • Lipid Panel - Blood test that measures fat particles in the blood including high-density lipoprotein (HDL) "good" cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) "bad" cholesterol, and triglycerides
  • C-Reactive Protein Test - Test that determines levels of inflammation in the body, which indicates a higher risk of a sudden heart problem
  • Body Mass Composition - Assessment of a person's total body relative to the amount of bone and muscle
  • Calcium Score - Examination of calcium deposits in the coronary arteries using our 64-slice CT machine. The presence of calcium deposits is a strong indicator of artery disease and can signal the need for further evaluation
  • Coronary Angiography - Fast and noninvasive cardiac-imaging test to look for harmful build-up in the coronary arteries. Performed using our 64-slice CT machine
  • Cardiac Stress Test - This test is used to evaluate the heart and vascular system during exercise in order to diagnose coronary artery disease
  • Cardiac Stress Test with Radionuclide Imaging - Providing enhanced images of the heart's function, this test helps to find areas of reduced blood flow during exertion
  • Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRI) - This procedure provides high resolution evaluation of the peripheral arteries using non-invasive scanning
