Kidney disease affects millions of Americans. The earlier a patient is referred to a nephrologist, a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease, the better the outcomes, but with no symptoms in its early stages, kidney disease is difficult to self-diagnose. Those with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or a family history of kidney failure are at risk for kidney disease and should work with physicians to keep the kidneys functioning properly.

Grace Clinic is pleased to offer The Nephrology Center for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease. Our goal is to diagnose kidney disease as early as possible and prevent it from progressing.

Our Services
We offer the following diagnostic and treatment services:
Diagnosis
- History – A first step in diagnosis is to gather the historical information relative to problems such as hard-to-control blood pressure, diabetes, chronic use of some pain medications, and other factors
- Laboratory test – Basic tests from urine and blood samples can help determine whether there is protein in the urine, a sign of kidney problems, and estimate how well the kidneys are working
- Ultrasound – This is a non-invasive test that evaluates kidney size and structure, presence of masses or cysts and signs of obstruction of the urine
- CT/MRI – These tests can evaluate blood flow to the kidneys and other problems if needed
Treatment
- Medication – Sometimes, prescription pharmaceuticals can help control the disease.
- Treatment of complications from kidney disease – When patients experience complications, such as anemia or bone problems, we will help treat these conditions and work to keep them from progressing.
- Dialysis – Both peritoneal (at home) and hemodialysis (at a dialysis center) are available to take over kidney function when the kidneys are in renal failure.
- After-transplant care– Our team will help your body heal as quickly as possible and prevent rejection and other complications.
